rude store - newton st loe
the duchy of cornwall and newton st loe have been in detailed consultation with bath and north east somerset district council to develop a master plan and strategy for the village’s development. the existing rude store within the old estate yard site has been identified and proposed for development within the consultations.
as architects, nsa have approached the design for a new office facility in a way that enhances its environment and responds to its context.
the proposals included an interesting glazed link to the existing estate buildings, a new meeting room with kitchen that opens up to a function room, an open plan office and wcs at the ground floor. at first floor, the new design proposed a raised roof lantern to provide sufficient head height to allow the space to be utilised.
